This day was filled with lots of love, lots of laughter, and a whole lot of fun! It was a treat to photograph this beautiful wedding!

It’s been such a pleasure to watch Kara grow up though sports, friendship, and school. She is a natural leader for sure. I bet you can’t tell we had a rain delay halfway through this session- I just love them all!!

Our family has been lucky to have Peyton and her family in our lives since she was a little girl. Peyton is the do-er, the achiever, the athlete, the leader, the high-energy friend who can handle it all. Her smile shows this perfectly. She is strong and smart and sweet. She truly cares about others. I will always see this face, no matter how old she gets……even if she is a senior…….

And I just I love her, and all of her faces, and her talents, and her sense of humor. She will continue to brighten every room in college and beyond…….and really, is her face so different now that she is grown up?

This is Peyton.

The first photo I have of Tiny Avee is from long, long ago in soccer. It must have been kindergarten year. Here eyes are exactly the same. Her sweet smile is exactly the same. The only thing that’s changed is that she’s all grown up. <3

Meet Wilson. She is full of life, smart, likes the outdoors, and is sporty too. How gorgeous is her HAIR???? I love how many looks she had during the first part of her senior session, and I can’t wait for the second part!

Living next door to someone allows you to see the growing up process with a close-up lens. Gabbie moved next door when she was a little girl. So I’ve been able to see her through playdates, birthdays, seasons, and years. She is the HAPPIEST soul and so fun to be around. We (I) had the BEST time making these photos, and I love how her personality shines through. I can’t quite believe that these are her senior photos. That we’re here.

She is sweet and beautiful and kind, and I know she’ll only continue even more in those directions through the next seasons and years.

If you check here often-ish, you know that when I post about high school seniors, that I LOVE to pull out photos I took of them as young children, if I have them. I love the comparison, and it pulls my heart strings even tighter. LOOK at Avery. That fierce, yet loving look in her eyes is exactly the same. The gorgeous glow is the same. That amazing head of hair is the same. But man, this girl has grown up. She’s a leader, so fun to be around, and she’s a knock-out. And I’ve loved watching it through my lens. <3

Vintage Roma was taken in 2011, on exactly the same farm, with exactly the same barn, with flowers from exactly the same garden, and in exactly the same creek. My photos have evolved a bit, and Roma……she has gone from adorable freckle-faced child to stunning, slightly freckle-faced beauty. Seeing this much growth in front of my lens makes my heart swell. We had fun during her photo shoot and there are so, so many great photos. Here are a few………

AJ and I go back a long time……he doesn’t actually remember when his parents were in college over 25 years ago, but I do. And it was incredibly special to be able to take senior photos for the son of long time friends. AJ’s work on academics and football are paying off- he’s off to the Ivy League next year to play for Columbia University!
